Why is it so easy to lose your peace, even when you know Christ is with you?
Most believers aren’t trying to walk away from Jesus. We still believe, still pray, and still know the truth of the gospel. Yet it doesn’t take much to leave us feeling unsettled. A difficult conversation, disappointing news, a medical report, or financial pressure can quietly pull us away from the confidence we once had. Before long, we’re reacting to our circumstances more than we’re resting in the hope Christ has already given us.
In this message from our series, Christ in You – The Hope of Glory, we look at Paul’s encouragement to remain “grounded and steadfast” in the hope of the gospel. We’ll see that there is a difference between being emotionally shaken and being moved from our foundation. The Christ who holds the universe together is the very same Christ who lives in every believer, and that changes how we face life’s uncertainties. Instead of finding our stability in changing circumstances, we’re invited to live from the unchanging reality of Christ in us. That truth doesn’t promise a life without challenges, but it does offer a settled confidence that can hold us steady when everything around us feels uncertain.
