Daring to Believe

How can you be sure your belief in Jesus isn’t just skin-deep? This Easter, we’re not just talking about the historical fact that Jesus lived, died and rose again; we’re taking a look at what it truly means to believe in Him, in a way that transforms every part of our lives. It’s about more than acknowledging His existence – it’s about living in a way that reflects a deep, heart-rooted faith.

Join us this week as we unpack the essence of real belief, breaking down the difference between knowing about Jesus and actually living through Him. We’ll explore how true faith isn’t just a mental nod to His reality but an all-encompassing surrender that changes how we love, serve, stand for integrity, and follow His teachings.

  1. What does it mean to you to fully surrender to Jesus? Can you share a time when you had to turn over a significant area of your life to Him?
  2. How do you practically live out the command to ‘abide in Jesus’ love’ in your daily life? How has abiding in His love changed you?
  3. In what ways have you invested yourself into others as a reflection of your faith? Can you share a specific example where serving others deepened your relationship with God?
  4. Have you ever faced a situation where you had to choose between doing what’s right according to your faith and following what others expected of you? How did you handle it?
  5. How do you decide which biblical teachings to follow? Have you ever struggled with picking and choosing what to obey in the Bible?
  6. Discuss how understanding God’s unconditional love has impacted your approach to faith and belief. How does this understanding influence your daily decisions and interactions?
  7. Reflect on a time when your faith was tested. How did that experience strengthen or challenge your relationship with God?
  8. How does the concept of ‘Heeding to His Word’ manifest in your life? Are there parts of the Bible you find difficult to live by, and how do you deal with those challenges?
