What Do You Do When God Feels Late?
In this message from our Redeemer and Friend series, we step into the intertwined story of Jairus and the woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. One is a synagogue leader pleading for his dying daughter. The other is an unnamed woman who has suffered in silence for over a decade. Both are desperate. Both reach for Jesus. And right in the middle of urgency, Jesus stops.
Why would He pause when a child’s life is on the line? Why would He draw attention to someone who only wanted to slip away unnoticed? And what does that interruption reveal about the heart of Christ?
This message explores what it means to trust Jesus when the timeline feels wrong, when delay feels dangerous, and when faith is stretched thin. We see that Jesus is not hurried by our pressure, nor indifferent to our pain. He is attentive, personal, and present – even when the outcome feels uncertain.
As you watch, consider where you are waiting. Where has it felt like God is late? And what might it look like to believe that His pause is not His absence?
